Nipun Java with another win! This is becoming a common theme this year.

Java outlasted 3,173 players in the $570 DeepStack Re-entry event of Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) in South Florida to add to this two World Series of Poker bracelet wins this year. Java was crowned the winner by virtue of a four way chop with Alfredo Guevara ($169,791), Josh Robins ($133,824) and Ana Clara Freitas($130,701).

The enormous turnout for the event developed through the span of eight starting flights, making a prize pool $1.5 million. This easily beat the $1 million guarantee.

It’s a confidence game,” the California-based pro told SHRPO reporters after his latest score, worth $230,848. “It’s tough to quantify what exactly works, why it’s a confidence game, but there’s something about poker which momentum is a real thing,” said Java after his splendid win.

Although Java started the final day with a massive chip lead, he had a mixed day. At one point, he had just 24 big blinds left. However, he dominated at the final table, winning important hands against Freitas and  Zachary DonovanJava also eliminated Brian Powell in 5th place.

Thus, at four handed play, Java’s stack of 31 million nearly covered those of the other three. The four players managed to reach a deal with Java winning the trophy and claiming $42,000 less than the original prize for the winner.
