Indians are in every field, proving their excellence in whichever field they are related to. With the growing acceptance of poker in India, the recent years have gifted the poker industry with many poker geniuses. One such genius, Sumit Sapra, has brought pride to India by winning a PSPC Platinum Pass at the APPT Korea Main Event by taking down a three-round flip-out.

Sapra is a player who risked his stable career to pursue his passion for poker. He was a stable finance professional when he quit his job to become a poker pro, in 2015. In his short career of 3 years, so far, he has become a popular name in the Indian Poker Circuit.  He has represented India in various tournaments held in places like Macau, Manila, England, Las Vegas, and Cambodia, cashing hefty amounts. Also, the man has several online poker titles to his credit too.

After his win at the PokerGuru Season 2 High Roller Event for INR 7.5 lakh, he started getting recognition in the industry. Following that, he shipped a PLO event in Cambodia. This year, he cashed INR 11.54 lakh at the inaugural WPT India, finishing fourth, which is his highest ever live cash.

This month, he represented India at the ongoing APPT Korea and reached Day 2 of the Main Event. On reaching Day 2, he was eligible for a PSPC Platinum Pass. He took down a three-round flip out to win the Platinum Pass at the start of Day 2 of the Main Event.

PSPC Platinum Pass

A PSPC (PokerStars Players Championship) is a ticket given away online and at PokerStars Live events. It is a $25,000 entry to the PokerStars Players NL Hold’em Championship. The Championship is a new annual tournament held for the players. These passes are given away throughout the year. The championship will take place between January 6-10, 2019 in The Bahamas.
