Dutch poker player Steven “SvZff” van Zadelhoff finished of the highly successful World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) by bagging an amazing $1,624,502 after winning the WCOOP-79-H: $5,200 NLHE [Main Event], $10M GTD. The guaranteed prize pool of $10 million was hauled to almost $11 million after the additional 379 re-entries to the 1800 entrants.

The trail of continuous hits of Zandelhoff has been constant as according to PocketFives, “He has more than $7 million in online cashes where he was ranked in 31st place in the world before the Main Event took place and is likely to move up to the top spot in the rankings when they update on Saturday after his big score. He is also well known in the live tournament circuit with over $1.5 million in live cashes according to The Hendon Mob where he is ranked in 13th place on the Netherlands All-Time Money List.”

Day 1 or the event ended with 281 players while the second day concluded with just nine players making it to the final day.

Day 3 started with two players playing from Thailand the first to go within an hour of start of play. Michael “imluckbox” Addamo holding ace-five hit the rail against Heikki “Kekkhou” Piira with ace-king suited, with the board running all blanks. Addamo took $120,630 for his ninth place finish.

Piira was soon eliminated in seventh place for $231,085 when his pocket kings failed to beat the pocket aces held by Herman. Later, Rocha was busted in third place for sum $848,016. The Brazilian from the small blind with ace-four and was unable to get beyond Zadelhoff who called from the big blind with ace-king.

The end of the play neared when Van Zadelhoff began the heads-up action with Joshua “joshuah333” Herman. Within the first seven hands, he was able to increase his chip lead to almost 7:1. It all came to an end after Herman with ace-two suited lost the battle to van Zadelhoff with ace-jack.

After the spectacular win, Zadelhoff was seen celebrating.
