The PokerBaazi Premier League Season VI drew to a close on Sunday night and left in its trail, an exquisite poker experience and mind-boggling guarantees for all those who participated. With over 4200 entries, PPL Season VI saw the biggest participation ever among Baazigars. Among the record-breaking feats were also the guarantees of the series. With every guarantee crushed, PPL Season VI culminated into the most successful online tournament series’ to date.

The Perfect End

The final day of the series featured the ₹50 Lakhs GTD (10 Lakhs GTD to Winner) Main Event and it lived up to the billing. 318 players participated in the Main Event and with a further 107 re-entries, the final prize pool was a mammoth ₹6,375,000. Continuing till the wee hours of the morning, the main event paid out 53 players with ₹1,195,313 to the winner.

Bangalorean Nishant ‘nishant177’ Sharma emerged a worthy winner after leading in chips for most of the tournament. He established a healthy chip stack early on and barely relinquished the lead. Varun ‘VnutsG’ Gupta played bravely but, was beaten to the PPL Main Event title by Nishant in a heads-up battle. Varun took home ₹876,563 for his second place finish while Delhiite Arjun ‘mysterrider’ Dhingra rounded up the top 3. Arjun won ₹637,500 for his stellar performance.

PPL Season VI Leaderboard

The PPL Season VI Leaderboard was won by Akshay ‘sherlock52’ Nasa. Akshay has been on a terrific run of form on PokerBaazi in the recent past and was one of the winners of the Vegas Tournament package in April. He managed a remarkable 8 cashes from the 24 tournaments he played. For topping the Leaderboard Akshay also claimed the ₹1.5 Lakhs Manila package. Avinash ‘spacecadet’ Tauro, with 8 cashes from 18 events, finished a close second in the Leaderboard. For the final Leaderboard results, click here.

The PokerBaazi team also organized many side events for the players. The LMS contest for the Main Event worth ₹3.1 Lakhs was eventually split between Paawan ‘ukissmyace’ Bansal, Varun Gupta and Arjun Dhingra in a 3-way deal. Another ₹50,000 LMS was won by  Nishant Sharma, making it a lucrative night for the lad.

Abijito Guha, meanwhile, won the ₹50,000 Fantasy Leaderboard. His team ‘Mehenti Majdoors’ was captained by Paawan and also included Jimmy ‘jeeven’ Arora, sherlock52’, Neeraj ‘SelfCLaimedPro’ Kumar, and ‘mysteryrider’.

Vishal Mehta won the “Guess the Entries” contest for the Main Event.

A Heartfelt Message

In all, the PokerBaazi Premier League Season VI delivered a breathless and scintillating poker experience to one and all. Overcoming previous technical difficulties, the PokerBaazi team deserved credit for a very successful event. Navkiran Singh, CEO of PokerBaazi, took to social media to express his gratitude for his team and said, “I can’t tell you guys how proud I am of you.
