After months of sleepless nights & endless days and after putting in a lot of hard work, the Ninjas managed to successfully conclude one of their biggest events, India Series of Poker.

India Series of Poker was an attempt undertaken by Poker Ninja to give the players, be it professionals or amateurs, first, a chance to experience the thrill of playing with some of the best players from the Indian Circuit and beating over 2oo players to land a chance to travel to Prague, & second, to give the players an international platform to prove their mettle in the Spanish Poker Festival.

The players themselves did not disappoint by participating in all the tournaments in big numbers & playing some intelligent & fun Poker & Poker Ninja in a never before attempted task, took a huge contingent of 50 players to Prague, which was only the second largest contingent present at the King’s Casino competing against players from all over the world to ship home the SPT trophy.

Rozvadov, a beautiful little city, a little over 2 hours away from Prague, picturesque landscapes pulled right out of a Yash Raj movie, sub-zero temperatures, lots of snow & right in the centre of it all, the wonderful Kings Casino, all this & more had the full Indian contingent excited & prepped up for the fantastic week they were about to have.

Mitesh Mehta

The week started off with the ISOP players competing on the final tables of their respective low, medium & high events. After an exciting day on the felt, Mitesh Mehta emerged as the winner of the ISOP Low event & took home a prize money worth Rs. 43,599. Everybody back home got a glimpse into the final table of the ISOP High event through the live stream & they were on the edge of their seats when the winner Pranjal Batra busted out his opponent to take home the trophy & a winning prize of Rs. 6,44,800. The day ended on a high note where the players let their hair down & partied away till the wee hours of the morning.

Day 2 at Kings Casino, saw our Indian contingent battling it out against players from all over the world in the Spanish Poker Festival. Our contingent managed to shine & dazzle in almost all the tournaments taking place at the casino. The final event at the SPT saw more than 300 players battling it out for a prize pool of €149283. Proving that the Indian players can match the potential & compete on any platform be it national or international, our very own Mahaveer Solanki made us proud by shipping the SPT trophy & a winning amount of €26595. 3 out of the top 15 winning players were Indians, with Pranjal Batra grabbing the third place & a winning amount of €12831 and Sanjay Taneja finished 11th & took home a prize money of €2254. The Indian Contingent performed extremely well at the felts & did not let the opportunity, given to them by Poker Ninja, go to waste. They proved that if given a platform they too can compete & be on par with some of the top players from all around the world.
