After months of uncertainty and skepticism, players finally returned to Bangalore to the promise of good poker tournament action at the 25L GTD Boom Boom Series organized by PokerBaazi LIVE.

It’s taken the better part of a year, but after the fiasco in August last year, Bangalore seems to have gotten over its hangover with players from all over the country turning out in good spirits. In fact, the biggest positive early on the first day were the good vibes around the room.

The poker fraternity is out in full swing with a lot of familiar faces to be seen. The PokerBaazi Team of Navkiran Singh, Jasven Saigal, Abhisek Panda and Vikram Kumar are joined by the likes of Anup Palod, Rohit Mittal, Abhinav Aditya, Aditya Sushant, Kunal Patni and Arjun Dhingra among others

PokerBaazi LIVE has for a while been setting the benchmark for poker rooms in Bangalore for high-stakes ring games and with Day 1A registering a full-house, of 75 entries, within an hour of the 2 pm start time, the hope is that MTT tournaments will also be seeing similar success.

Among the early highlights on Day 1A was Table 2, dubbed as the “Table of Death”. Onlookers could have been mistaken for thinking that the Final Table had started 3 days too early, as on display was one of the toughest line-ups possible.

Table 2 (as per respective position to the dealer)
1. Abhishek Shiv Hare
2. Simon Mint
3. Rishab Jain
4. Jaydeep Dawer
5. Anup Palod
6. Kumar Patni
7. Rohit Tiwari
8. Devesh Thapar
9. Hussain Lakda

Action will continue till level 12 on Day 1A and Day 1B with players able to re-buy up till level 6 on both days. Day 2 will see the finalists from Day 1A and 1B playing each other in a combined pool, with the Final Table taking place on Sunday – Day 4.
