After taking down the November Niner, Michiel utreg Brummelhuis has flawlessly taken down $194,883 at the Spring Championship of Online Poker, this weekend.

The journey to the win was not an easy one for Brummelhuis. He had to face the toughest final table of the lot, this weekend at the $2100 buy-in event where his opponents were Ben ‘Ben86’ Tollerene and Linus ‘LlinusLlove’ Loeliger.

Loeliger’s performance at the felt proved that he was determined to win. After his button aces trapped Tollerene’s pocket deuces, leaving him a 4.5-1 heads-up chip leader against his Dutch rival, he had every chance of taking down the winner’s prize money. But Brummelhuis turned the table to his favour in a short time.

The final hand, when it came to witnessing a domination by Brummelhuis’ A♦ J♣ of Tollerene’s A♣ 8♠, it sealed Loeliger’s fate and handed ‘utreg’ a healthy $194,883.23 payday.

On the other side, England’s Michael ‘mczhang’ Zhang outlasted a field of 155 players to bag the top prize of  $68,640.00 at the $2100 buy-in 6-max Shootout. At the same event, Loeliger secured the 7th position to cash some useful pay.

Another Englishman took back quite a huge amount of money. Jon ‘luckyfish89’ Clark lit his weekend with a handsome paycheck of $104,935.81 that he won after taking down the $1050 Progressive KO event.

The $530 NoLimitOmaha 6-max turbo event has been won by BigTreeStump who cashed almost $30k and Talal ‘raidalot’ Shakerchi became the first runner-up who also cashed handsomely.

Others who won various events this weekend are, Canadian Calvin ‘Cal42688’ Anderson at the $2100 6-Max and  Rui ‘RuiNF’ Ferreira at the $2100 buy-in Fixed Limit Hold’em, for  $126,659.11 and almost $50,000, respectively.

The SCOOP action continues, of course, and the $2100 6-Max NLHE event 30H kicks off today, another $1million guarantee likely to be exceeded by the end of registration.
