Can anything be better than learning your favourite game from your game idol? All those questions and doubts that you may have, getting them cleared from the pro himself? There is a good news for all those poker enthusiasts who, although know the game, require to know the finer aspects of it. Our very own poker idol, Daniel Negreanu is all set to teach you poker nuances and skills.

Negreanu will be our poker mentor at the internationally renowned online education platform ‘Masterclass’. Needless to say that, Negreanu’s tips on poker will be a goldmine for all the poker enthusiasts.

Poker On ‘MasterClass’

The online education platform ‘Masterclass’ was founded in 2015. For all those who are not acquainted with this platform, this platform allows people to learn from the field professionals. Celebrities like  Garry Kasparov, Serena Williams, Gordon Ramsay, Armin Van Buuren, DeadMau5, Marc Jacobs, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Thomas Keller, Martin Scorsese, Aaron Sorkin, and Samuel L Jackson take online classes for all those who wish to achieve their passion. Now, Negreanu is a part of the aforementioned ‘celebrity cum mentor’ league.

“There are a lot of teaching sites within poker but this was an opportunity to expand the game to a wider audience. ‘MasterClass’ is the most high-end production of any program like it. If you look at who is associated with it, it seemed like a no-brainer,” Negreanu said, after joining the Masterclass bandwagon.

Negreanu is a six-time WSOP champion and getting all his game secrets is a great start at achieving your poker dream. The poker pro has started the class with 7 lessons, with topics ranging from tournament strategy to betting techniques, bluffing and hand ranges.

After the first week, the platform will have more lessons rolled out which would also cover topics like cash games and online play. The beyond 33 lessons guidance can be downloaded by students in the form of a workbook for regular reference. Also, Negreanu will interact with the students to clear their genuine doubts.

Co-founder and CEO of MasterClass David Rogier feels that Negreanu is the best mentor for such guidance.

“Poker is an intellectual endeavor that Daniel has mastered over decades playing at the highest level through disciplined focus, hard work, and by honing his unique ability to read his opponents,” Rogier said, adding, “With this class, we’re excited to give students access to a comprehensive analysis of tournament strategy from the most successful live tournament player of all time.”

Most noteworthy is the fact that these classes by Negreanu are not meant for beginner level poker players. All of those, who know the game well but need the ultimate professional polish, should definitely refer to them.

“If you don’t know how to play poker it’ll probably be far too advanced for you,” he said. “If you are intermediate, struggling or learning; it’s certainly something that can help elevate your game. I would say for a rank beginner they need to get an understanding of the game before they can take it on,” Negreanu explained.

So far, all the students have rated Negreanu 10 out of 10 as a poker mentor. Subsequently, if things go well, as they are now, Negreanu might take up up a second or third, more advanced course. In conclusion, you can bank on Negreanu’s poker skills to improve your game if you are stuck at the intermediate level.
