“I love playing against men who think they can push me around. It’s fun and usually, I am aware of that and have the better side of it,” says Kristen Bicknell-the queen in shining armour. With luck n love both on her side, she is not just another poker player vying for money. The couple Kristen Bicknell and Alex Foxen are making headlines yet again at the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona €10,300 Main Event. Bicknell has amassed $1.22 million on Day 1a and Foxen has collected $5.215 million on Day 1c. The glamour-couple swarmed the poker media last year too when they took down their High Roller events in Macau with ace-six.

And now, Bicknell is battling through partypoker LIVE Barcelona, where she is aiming for the much-deserved respect not just for herself but for the entire female poker fraternity.

“I do feel driven as probably one of the few female players to play in the High Roller that I really want to represent women in poker. And hope to inspire women in poker to do that, to show that women belong at the poker tables, too. Even in the High Rollers. And I get a lot of satisfaction by competing with the best in the world.”

The Lady With Achievements

Bicknell has two World Series of Poker bracelets to her name from the 2013 Ladies Event, and the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Bounty (Event #46) in 2016.

The partypoker sponsored pro has over $1.7 million in cash prize on the live circuit. But, the Canadian has been slaying the online arena as well with millions and millions of hands to her credit.

Last few months have been phenomenal for Bicknell as she bagged 4 cash events at the 2017 WSOPE followed by a win at the $5,300 Side Event at the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic in December 2017. A victory in five cash tournaments at the 2018 Aussie Millions and a 10th-place finish in the partypoker-sponsored Latin American Poker Championship in Punta del Este for $9,000 speak enough for the lady on a mission.

The Complementing Couple

Speaking for Foxen and herself about the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Barcelona, Bicknell confirmed that both have had a great start at the €23,000,000 guaranteed prize festival. At the first of two €25,500 Super High Rollers, Bicknell and Foxen both reached the final table and cashed for €60,000 and €90,000 respectively.

Riding high on confidence, Bicknell candidly appreciates the vital factor boyfriend Foxen has brought into her gaming. “One thing I have taken from Alex is the strongest part of his game, and that is confidence, his fearlessness.”
