37-year-old,  Kalidou Sow won the 2017 PokerStars Championship Prague €5,300 no-limit hold’em main event. He brilliantly outlasted the field of 885 strong entries and won this prestigious title for a grand sum of €675,000 ($795,305). The 885-entry led to building a prize pool equivalent to nearly $4.9 million.

Sow came into the final day of this tournament as the chip leader with six players streamed at the final table after the quick elimination of Matas Cimbolas at 7th place and Valentyn Shabelnyk at 8th.

During three-handed play, Sow had taken an overwhelming control when he flopped a straight QSpade SuitJDiamond Suit on a 10Diamond Suit9Heart Suit8Spade Suit flop. Wheeler with the 7Spade Suit6Spade Suit  got all-in against Sow on the turn. Wheeler successfully knocked out Michal Mrakes in third place. American poker pro- Jason Wheeler, the champion of 2016 World Series of Poker Circuit Bally’s main event was able to use his experience to survive to heads-up play against Sow.

Sow continued his lead. The winner was declared when the play saw Wheeler raising to 425,000 with his AHeart Suit9Spade Suit. Sow three-bet to 1,375,000 with his 10Heart Suit10Diamond Suit. Wheeler moved all-in for 6,035,000 and Sow called. The board ran out JClub Suit7Spade Suit4Spade Suit5Heart SuitKHeart Suit and Sow’s tens managed to seal the deal after knocking out Wheeler as the runner-up.
