Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk are two gems of the poker industry. But unfortunately, the two just don’t seem to get along. Such intolerance is found in both of them against each other in equal proportions. It has been observed that Doug Polk never supports the perspective of Negreanu and leaves no chance to pick up on him. Social media or any other platform, Doug never misses these opportunities. Last year, post the following tweet by Negreanu and Polk’s comment on it, Negreanu had outrightly blocked Polk from his twitter handle.

Recently, after rake increased by 20% in low stakes games on PokerStars, Polk called the PokerStars team pro a hypocrite. This tag was followed by another rail of insults directed towards Negreanu, including abuses. Recently, the increase in rake brought a statement to the surface by Negreanu, which he gave a year back.  He had said that he definitely thinks that higher rake is harmful to poker. But in February 2018, Polk outrightly abused Negreanu in this context and called him names like “hypocrite”, and an “embarrassment to the game”.

Polk was in a youtube podcast with Joe ‘Chicago Joey’ Ingram where he openly said the following-

“Dude, honestly, shut the fuck up!” explaining to viewers that, “he’s getting paid millions of $ to be a hypocrite and tell you why taking your money is good and why he should take more of your money, and then trying also to be the good guy. YOU DON’T GET TO BE BOTH!”

To such comments, Negreanu replied in the most peaceful way possible through a tweet-

Thus a Cold War ensues between the both.

This post received various comments from people but Negreanu was again picked on the context of Polk by Shaun Deeb.

This comment received a lot of response, one of which is-

Replying to Brunson and Deeb, Polk tweeted:

Hopefully, this would be the end of the verbal spat and Negreanu will finally be able to concentrate on his summer schedule, peacefully.
