2017 was full of triumphs for poker pro-Chris Moorman as he not only won a first WSOP bracelet, earning almost $500,000 for taking down in a $3k NLHE event, but also published a second book, “Moorman by Chris Moorman.”

Additionally, his online winnings neared $14.4m after a record-breaking 26th online Triple Crown.

In online poker, a “Triple Crown” is a title awarded by live tourney database Pocketfives.com  to any player who manages to win three MTTs within a seven-day period. For the victories to be considered, each tournament must meet the following criteria:

  • The tournament must have a buy-in of at least $0.01 — freerolls do not qualify
  • The tournament must have at least 100 entrants
  • The tournament must have a prize pool of at least $10,000

Moorman achieved his latest Triple Crown in the last week of October as he starred in partypoker’s Uppercut Warm-Up $20k Guaranteed for $8,060. The following day he took down PokerStars $109 Fast Friday Edition for $4,163. Over the next couple of days, Moorman managed two second and two third places as he came close to the TC. Eventually, he was able to seal the deal on 31st October, succeeding in 888poker’s $10k Monsoon for $2,591.

In addition to his $14.4m in online tourney winnings, Moorman also has (as of November 2017) almost $5.2m in live tournament winnings.
