After Day 1 at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Asia Swing, Team India is at rank number 8 with a total of 78 points in its kitty. WPT is hosting its Asia special at multiple Asian locations including Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and India. Recently, WPT Japan took place where the Main Event was shipped by Shingo Endo.
As the WPT Global Teams Event sets its foot for the first time in Korea, 14 countries suit up for a historic journey.
WPT Korea: It’s Begun
From September 19-21, Paradise City Hotel & Casino in Incheon, South Korea, will witness some of the most brilliant poker minds of the world fight for their homeland. A medley of various NLH and PLO events will be enough to keep the players on their toes.
As it’s a team event, countries have been divided into teams each representing one nationality and consisting of four members.
September 19 was Day 1, which started with a 9-Max NLHE event followed by a Heads-Up NLH and a Heads-Up PLO event.
Day 2 is well underway and the schedule shows a PLO (two players) event and Tag Team (two players) event followed by a 6-Max NLH event.

The Indian entourage consists of ace-players including India’s first female WSOP bracelet winner- Nikita Luther and several top shots like Adda52 Pros Kunal Patani and Amit Jain, and PSL Season 2 winning mentor, Dhaval Mudgal.
