Jagdeep Singh Outshines At The TIPS Rozvadov

The Indian Poker Series (TIPS) debuts on the felt of King’s Casino Rozvadov, Czech Republic and Jagdeep Singh books an epic moment. The Welcome Event and Day 1A flight of Main Event kicked off on August 15. The series promises a host of mind-throbbing tournaments, players will find hard to resist.

First And Foremost

Europe’s most celebrated casino room was dominated by Day 1B of Main Event that attracted 87 entries. Next show-stopper was a Special Indian Cash Kings- PLO €25/€50. The latter was a high stake cash game that saw Jagdeep Singh cash ₹38,35,437. A total of three Indians minted a sizeable profit at the TIPS.

Speaking on the first TIPS at King’s, co-founder Manish Goenka said, “The response to the Series has been fantastic. TIPS is first of its kind Indian Poker tournament Series in the European circuit and has immense value for small, medium as well as high stake players. The numbers have been overwhelming and we made sure that the best is provided to all our players right from accommodation to Indian food.”

The Main Event

The Main Event having a buy-in of €200 promised a guarantee of ₹79,74,500. The first flight booked 67 unique entries and 18 re-entries and the second one registered a total of 87 entries.

Eleven Indians who swept clean into Day 2 from the first flight are Roshan Romeo Rodrigues (347,000) Sunny (221,000), Ankit Saxena (192,500), Durga Deepak (157,500), Varun Gupta (129,000), Gaurav Gala (113,500), Ashok Desai (101,500), Varun Ganjoo (82,500), Zarvan Tumboli (81,000) and Uday Patil (33,000).

Special Indian Cash Kings

Talk of the town Special Indian Cash Kings PLO €25/€50 roped some of the most sought-after names in the poker circuit, not only from India but across the globe.

Top guns like partypoker Team pro Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, Yair ‘The Wolf’ Bitoun and Leon Tsoukernik were seen in the mix. It was, however, Indian pro Jagdeep Singh seen slaying it at the tables. Making a cut at the cash tables were five other Indians- Navkiran Singh (₹23,97,148), Samay Parikh (₹9,58,859), Sahaj Singh Bali (₹3,19,619), Suraj Agrawal (₹1,59,809) and Gaurav Gala (₹79,904).
