PartyPoker Lightens Up The Last Monsoon Month With Sochi MILLIONS

Right after WSOP, PartyPoker is all set to roll out its annual MILLIONS Sochi live festival. This time Russia is the host for the MILLIONS which boasts of a $5million guaranteed Main Event.

Again, it would be Casino Sochi, hosting the 12 days extravaganza. The last year’s MILLIONS produced the biggest-ever prize fund of any Russian tournament. Yekaterinurg pro Aleksandr Gofman had walked off with the Main Event title and $1million.

Tough competitors like Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Sam Trickett, Paul Phua and partypoker pro Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier would make the felt fierce. They have all confirmed that they’ll be making the trip in search of Russian MILLION.

PartyPoker’s Global Ambassador Trickett’s decision to forego the WSOP to cheer on his nation in the football World Cup maybe not have been 100% successful – his England team losing out to Croatia in the semifinals – but he’ll be looking to go a step further on the green felt…

The Main Event

The Main Event Guarantees 300,000,000 Rubles (about $5 Million USD) prize pool. There is an online day 1 qualifier to complement the three live day ones, but there is a lot more on the schedule besides.

The Best of the Rest

The events range from $500 Turbo Bounty events to the Triton Super High Roller with a massive $90k buy-in, which is sure to rope in celebrated poker players like Ivey, Dwan, Trickett and the Triton supremo Paul Phua.

They’ll be joined by a mass of satellite and competition winners, the inclusive PartyPoker LIVE approach also waiving visa travel fees for anyone going to Sochi.

$100k Last-longer battle

There is a new addition to the MILLIONS’ event list this year. PartyPoker announced that the first 100 entries to the Main Event using the PP Live $ will compete in a last-longer competition during play. Whoever takes the event down would be awarded prize money amounting to an incredible $100,000 in cash.
